Q: Does the spa have to be empty to install?
A: Though technically you are not 100% required to empty your spa before installation, you do need to slide the mounting plate under the spa. As a 300 gallon hot tub has 2400 pounds of water in addition to the weight of the rest of the spa, in reality most people will need to drain their tub prior to installation.
