Q: How long does a cartridge typically last?
A: For light to normal hot tub use, your cartridge should remain effective for approximately four months. Spas with frequent use or higher bather loads may need to replace it sooner. In all circumstances, the cartridge should be replaced at least once every four months.
Q: If you drain your spa for 2 weeks and you already had the nature spa 2 stick installed does that ruin the stick? I'm having extremely high Ph levels since refilling it after having it drained for about 3 weeks
A: The only thing to avoid when reusing a Nature2 cartridge with new water is the use of a metal sequestering agent, like Leisure Time Metal Gon. This product will strip the silver off of the cartridge rendering it useless. However, you simply remove the Nature2 cartridge during this treatment and return it to use in a couple days once the Metal Gon has done it's job.
